Clubs

 

Our upper school students have a chance to connect through a wide range of Club offerings.  The following clubs are designed to enhance the Eagle community and meet the unique needs of student groups.

 

Art Club-The Art Club is for any student who has a talent and/or appreciation of the visual arts.  We have a two-fold purpose of developing each individual student in their abilities and knowledge of the art world, as well as providing opportunities for the students to use their God given talents to enhance the school and community.

 

Beta Club-The purpose of The National Beta Club is to promote the ideals of character, service and leadership among students, to reward meritorious academic achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.

 

Career Club- This school-to-career program will help students make the connection between the classroom and the world of work and employment.  Our purpose is to help students understand the relationship between learning and earning.  Students are encouraged to take a more active role in learning about careers, in selecting challenging courses and exploring career opportunities.  Through group activities and guest speakers, students will gain a broad knowledge of potential career avenues to explore.

 

Computer Club- The computer club is designed to offer opportunities to students interested in educational technology. There are many multimedia applications to choose from. The purpose of the computer club is to use their God given talents to enhance the school and community.

 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Advisor:  Mission Statement:  “To present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.”

 

Game Club- The game club is for students interested in board games such as Chess, Scrabble, and other educational competitions.  The intent is to provide an opportunity for students who share an interest in these activities to meet and challenge one another.

 

Key Club Advisor:  Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service build character and develop leadership.

 

National Honor Society - The purpose of the National Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate the desire to render service, promote leadership, develop character, and encourage citizenship. Juniors and seniors who have a GPA of 4.0 or higher and exhibit qualities of strong character are eligible for membership.

 

Quiz Bowl Advisor:  Quiz Bowl meets weekly to discuss educational trivia and train for competition. We participate in competitions at various times of the year.

 

Spanish/International Club Advisor:  Spanish club is for students taking Spanish II and above. We learn more about Spanish culture and sample different Spanish recipes. We write puppet and drama skits and record them for churches to use in reaching the Spanish speaking community with the Gospel.

 

Spirit Club -The Spirit Club will promote awareness of school activities and build interest among the student body.  The intent is to support all school activities including but not limited to:  sports, fine arts, FACS Family events, and service projects.

 

Student Christian Fellowship -The mission of the Student Christian Fellowship is to provide students with opportunities for spiritual growth through God’s Word, worship, prayer and service.

 

Student Council -The purpose of the organization shall be to encourage communication between the student body and faculty, to promote high academic standards, increase school spirit, loyalty, and promote Christian citizenship.

 

 “We Can” Club -This is the club for students who want to make a difference in the world.  This service-oriented group would share God’s love and compassion as they work to help others in our community and world.
