Visual & Performing Arts
In striving to develop the whole child, First Assembly Christian School provides many opportunities for students to cultivate their unique God-given talents. Here at FACS the administration encourages and supports a strong Fine Arts Department; knowing that the study of the Fine Arts further develops the students’ creative thought processes, strengthens their problem solving skills, and develops their interpretive abilities. The development of these skills helps them find success in the Fine Arts, and paves the way for increased success in other disciplines as well.
Our Fine Arts students have opportunities to use their talents in local, regional and national competitions, exhibitions, and performances. Our Fine Arts Department consists of Band taught by Mr. Hedrick, Elementary music taught by Mrs. Young, Choir & Drama taught by Mrs. McClendon, Elementary – 7th grade Visual Arts taught by Mrs. Grigg and 8th grade - High School Visual Arts taught by Mrs. Williams.
