Kindergarten- Five Years Old

BIBLE
Bible lessons are taught on a daily basis using songs and Scripture memorization.  Students attend chapel services weekly.

MATH
The Math course is designed to introduce and reinforce number concepts and formation of numbers 0 to 100.  Students learn number sequences, number words, telling time, value of money and simple addition and subtraction combinations.

PHONICS
The Phonics course introduces the letters of the alphabet and their sounds.  Students learn to identify sounds of letters by using pictures, applying phonics rules and special sounds.  This enables them to read one and two vowel words, sentences and short stories.  Punctuation and capitalization rules are also introduced in this course.

READING
Reading is an application of skills taught in the Phonics course.  Students read through a set of twelve phonetic books to reinforce phonics skills, recognition of sight words and application of punctuation marks. Comprehension of material is also assessed.

SCIENCE
In the Science course, the students learn that God has a plan for everything and everyone including them.  Students study health, seeds, animals, the seashore, the weather and the seasons.

SOCIAL STUDIES
The Social Studies course teaches students about community helpers, America and ten additional countries of the world.

WRITING
Students learn to write letters in manuscript form as they learn the sounds of the letters.  The course is closely linked with phonics lessons to apply writing skills and reinforce recognition as sounds are taught.  In this course, copying letters, blends, words, sentences and stories are introduced and mastered.
